Gucci Designer 3D Glasses
Long gone are the red and blue tinted paper 3D glasses we grew up with. Instead, we now have battery powered 3D glasses, standard plastic 3D glasses and now there, the new Gucci 3D glasses.
Realising that the geeks that own a 3D TV must have a fair few pounds in their pocket, Gucci will launch the uni-sex eye wear in time for Christmas. With a huge increase in 3D TV and Movies, Gucci seem the first fashion giant to jump on this bandwagon but we have no doubts many will follow in the coming months.
Looking like a shiny, plastic aviator, they feature:
“optically correct 6-base curved lenses with circular polarized technology” (good for most cinemas)
“contain a high tech multi-layered mirrored coating which allows the wearer to view themselves in a mirror without distortion. The mirrored coating not only provides a premium look as well as offers superior viewing and contrast enhancement, but also allows over 98 percent of visible light through, therefore not affecting viewing in a cinema environment. An anti-reflective coating has been applied to the back of the lens for additional overall image quality by reducing scattered light, glare and blue light.” – whatever that means, but ultimately you are going to get an improved 3D experience over those normal people in the cinema.
The 3D glasses are available for around $225 and expect to see them in December.
