We have just got word the the latest 3D offering from Nintendo, the 3DS is penned for a March 2011 launch here in the UK. It will be available for approximately £190 and in 2 colours, Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black. You will be able to connect online to download games, access the web and stores. It will also include a 3D camera in which you can automatically create your 3D Nintendo Mii Avatar with.
You will be able to watch films and play games in 3D, without the need for special 3D glasses. You will also find the standard pedometer, all the usual Nintendo DS goodies and an e-book reader, should you actually want one… There are currently 70 games in development for the handheld, including Mario, Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid. You will also find a virtual console allowing you to play retro titles of old from the original gameboy which is pretty cool.
For us, this is mostly for the kids, my younger cousins will want one no doubt. But if you feel you’re not quite grown up enough for a tablet, then take a look.
